Robert Lee Burrows, age 84, of White Springs, FL. passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Lake City VA Medical Center in Lake City, FL. following an illness of some time.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Lake City Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Craig Henderson officiating.

Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery in White Springs, FL.

Mr. Burrows was born in Black Hawk County, Iowa on September 1, 1929 to the late Raymond and Hazel Brallier Burrows. As a young man he served his country honorably in the United States Army. Mr. Burrows worked in sales most of his life and enjoyed fishing and trap shooting in his spare time. He was a family man and thrived on spending quality time with his family. Mr. Burrows attended the Lake City Church of the Nazarene. He was predeceased by his parents, his step son, Bruce Cason; five brothers, Leonard, Cecil, Burdell, Floyd and Leland Burrows; three sisters, Lois Primmer, Lorraine Taylor and Vera McClung; and a precious granddaughter, Madelyn Lee Powell.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Shirley Register Burrows; daughter, Shari Eicher (Richard), Oxford, AL., two step-daughters, Virginia Tippens (Jeff), Lake City, FL. and Ginger Powell (Marlin), White Springs, FL.; two sisters, Darlene Mueller, Dewar, Iowa and Ruby Dodson, San Diego, CA.; two grandchildren and ten step grandchildren.
