Robert "Bob" Eugene Deen, Sr., age 72, of Jacksonville, FL. passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Community Hospice. Bob was born in Alma, Georgia on November 20, 1940 to the late George and Lillian Pickren Deen. As a young man he joined the United States Air Force and served his country after which he went to work in the shipping industry checking cargo at Jax Port.
Survivors include a son, Robert Deen, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL. and a daughter, Sheilah Deen Nicolet of Canada; several brothers and sisters; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Riverside Cemetery in White Springs, Florida.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 124 West Ashley Street, Jacksonville, FL. 32202
