Robert William Jewett Marvin, III, of Jasper, FL. passed away at his home on October 10, 2022 at the age of 55.

Robert was born in Hollywood, FL. on March 28, 1967 to the late Robert (II) and Phyllis Boorom Marvin. Robert was employed as a sales associate at Preferred Rentals in Jasper, FL. Prior to joining Preferred, Robert had a lengthy career with FL. Forest Services and was a Purple Heart recipient for his service on the line during the "Blue Ribbon Wildfire" in June of 2011 where there were two fatalities. Robert's life was changed forever on that day and the days to follow would be haunting but Robert and so many others faced the awful sense of loss with the knowledge that the collective departments had done all that they could do to prevent the terrible tragedy. Robert's bravery was witnessed time and again following that day as he continued to volunteer his time with the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department long after he left the forestry department. Robert had a great personality and would often just randomly text friends to extend his hope that they were having a good day or perhaps share a short video of the grandchildren. He kept his life upbeat with a host of friends and neighbors. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Phyllis Marvin.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather Marvin DeRocco and her husband Adam and daughter Ashley Marvin, all of Jasper, FL.; his grandchildren, Easton and Penelope; his sister, Carrie Schuppe, her husband Craig and nephews and niece, Joshua, Megan and Alex, all of Cary, Illinois

A memorial service for Robert was held  on Friday, October 14, 2022 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL.
