Robert Davis "Sonny" Lucas, Jr., age 81, of Jasper, FL., passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Lake City VA Medical Center, Lake City, FL. Mr. Lucas was born in Hillsborough County, FL. to the late Robert and Adina Lucas. Mr. Lucas was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Korean War. Following his years in service Mr. Lucas worked as a mechanic as long as his health permitted.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Amerson Lucas, Jasper; four sons, Robert Davis Lucas, III, Live Oak, FL., Roy Allen Lucas, Arizona, Ronald Myers, New York and Russell Lucas, Texas; three daughters, Sheila Lucas, Tallahassee, FL., Kaye Lynn Lucas, North Carolina and Edna Lucas, Texas; several grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 21, 2010 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Rev. Wilbur Wood officiating.
Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
