Rochelle Rene Deal, age 93, of Jasper, FL. passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Shands at Live Oak following an extended illness. Rochelle was born in Jasper, FL. to the late James Willie Rhoden and Florence Morgan Rhoden. For a number of years she worked at the cigar factory and later at Jasper Foodway. She was a faithful member at the First Baptist Church in Jasper where she loved on all the little babies and small children who thought they just could not go into big church and leave Rochelle. When her health began to fail, Rochelle went to Suwannee Valley Nursing Center where for the longest time visitors thought she was a volunteer rather than a resident. She was always helping someone else.

Rochelle is survived by one sister, Billie Brown of Jacksonville, FL.; a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 7, 2012 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastor Roger Hutto officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Jasper.
