Roy Ann Mathis Swindell of Alachua, FL. passed away on September 9, 2022 at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, FL. at the age of 81.

Roy Ann was born on December 2, 1940 in Jennings, FL. to the late Roy and Sallie Morgan Mathis. She worked as a floral designer for a number of years. From the start, given the name Roy Ann, no one would ever accuse her of being just another one of the girls. In fact, she was far from a typical girl as two of her favorite past-time loves included Nascar and gardening. She was a fierce supporter of and devoted wife to her husband Marvin Clayton Swindell who passed away December 1, 2021.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Holley and her husband Steve of High Springs, FL.; her three brothers, Thomas Mathis, Lynnwood Mathis and Gary Mathis; and her two sisters, Faye Law and Evelyn Carter; her three grandchildren, Matthew Kramer, Morgan Kramer and Alex Kramer; two great grandchildren, Mason and Kaydence Kramer.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Oak Grove Cemetery near Jennings, FL.
