Ruby Helen Sowell Bass, age 89, of Jasper, FL. passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at Haven Hospice following a brief illness. Ruby was born in Miami, FL. on July 29, 1927 to the late George and Hattie Sowell. She was a homemaker and member of Sunrise Baptist Church in Jasper, FL. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Archie L. Bass, Sr. in April of 1992.

Survivors include three sons, Archie L. Bass, Jr., of Jasper, FL.; Robert E. Bass, San Antonio, TX and Melvin E. Bass and his wife Terri of Fernandina Beach, FL.; three granddaughters, two great- granddaughters, one  great-grandson, one great-great-grandson and one on the way.

Graveside services were held  on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL. with Bro. Timmy Dyke and Pastor James Stringer officiating.
