Mrs. Ruth Duckworth Zipperer, age 79, of Jasper, FL. passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008 in Bainbridge, GA. following an extended illness. Ruth was born in O'Brien, FL. to the late Samuel T. and Josephine Myers Duckworth. She was retired from P.C.S. (Occidental Chemical Company). Following her retirement she worked for several more years with the Hamilton County Clerk's Office and Kinsey Air Conditioning. Mrs. Zipperer was a member of the Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Clinton Zipperer.

Survivors include one son, Marcus Zipperer (Sharon) of Ashburn, GA.; three daughters, Sandra Welch (Carroll), Live Oak, FL., Linda Touchton (Gary), Cordele, GA. and Janet Dowdy (Kevin), Bainbridge, GA.; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 31, 2008 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Jasper, FL.
