Samuel Ray Williamson, age 64, of White Springs, FL. passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville, Tennessee. Samuel Ray was born on March 12, 1950 in Madison, FL. to the late Dewey and Evelyn Albritton Williamson. He served his country in the United States Army and was the recipient of several Vietnam service medals including the Bronze Service Star. He was employed by Occidental Chemical Company (PCS) for 34 years until poor health forced his retirement. Samuel Ray was a family man who enjoyed the finer things in life such as fishing, football and Nascar. He loved the mountains and it was his wish that when God called him home it would be in the mountains. He was granted this wish this past Tuesday. Samuel was a man of faith and was a member of White Springs Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Boyd Williamson of White Springs; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Angie Williamson of Lake City, FL.; one daughter and son-in-law, Melina and Billy Daniels of Live Oak, FL.; four brothers, Hansel Williamson of Boston, Robert and Raymond Williamson both of Suwannee County, FL. and David Williamson, Mayo, FL.; three sisters, Lillie Boyd, Tallahassee, FL., Margaret Pike and Tonya Wilson both of Suwannee County; three grandchildren, Kierston, Tucker and Kaiden; one great granddaughter, Kinsley.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 1, 2014 at White Springs Church of God. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery in White Springs.
