It is with great sadness that the family of
Sharon Elaine Lee Jackson announces her passing from this life. After a long illness Sharon went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 17, 2018 at the age 60.
Sharon was born in Jacksonville, Florida to John and Helen (McCulley) Lee on April 19, 1958. As a child growing up in Florida, Sharon loved to play outdoors. She loved animals of all kinds, especially pugs and once taught a squirrel to eat out of her hand. Her pets included cats, dogs, a chimp and a chicken.
Sharon graduated from DeLand High School in 1976. Later that same year she married her high school sweetheart, Curtis E. Jackson on October 23, 1976. In a few years the Lord blessed them with two sons, Tyler and Clayton. Sharon was content to be a wife, mother and homemaker.
Sharon was a wonderful cook and award winning baker. She loved to grow flowers and plants. She was very creative and could turn anything into a work of art.
After Sharon accepted Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior on March 4, 1983, the way she lived her life changed dramatically. Sharon was a woman of great faith, she grew in grace and became a fearless witness for Jesus Christ. She faithfully attended church and used the beautiful voice God gave her to sing for Him.
Left behind to mourn her loss; her husband of 41 years, Curtis Jackson. Sons Tyler (Leah) Jackson, granddaughters Aubrey and Sydney; Clayton Jackson, granddaughters Riley and Colbie. Parents Helen and Ted Miller and John Lee. Sister Beverly Lee Catir. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The Jackson family, the late Emmett Jackson, Betty, Marcia and Jason.
Sharon will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She brought life and laughter to any gathering with her fun and unique personality. She is gone from this life years too soon, but she will live forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace dear Sharon, safe in the arms of Jesus.
