Sharron Rose Smith Wetherington, age 65, of Jennings, Florida passed from this world to eternal heaven on July 6, 2009 at her residence. Sharron was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County, FL. born June 13, 1944 to Kenneth and Dot Smith. She served as Jennings City Clerk from 1991 until 2008 ministering to the city and community which she greatly enjoyed and was a faithful member of Jennings Missionary Baptist Church.

Sharron was preceded in death by her parents and her beautiful sister, Elaine Smith Johnson.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 47 years, Michael; two daughters, Antonia Adams (John) and Lee Wetherington-Zamora (Adan), all of Jennings, FL.; one son, Mike Wetherington (Megan), Jasper, FL.; two sisters, Linda Tippette (John), Madison, FL. and Faye Smith-Corbett, Jennings, FL.; two granddaughters, Andrea Weeks (Marty), Lakeland, GA. and Ami Hernandez (Marco), Clyattville, GA.; four step-grandchildren, Brenda Sanchez, Amanda Zamora, Adan Zamora, Jr., and Joel Zamora; three great-granddaughters, Hailey Weeks, Melodi and Sadie Hernandez; two step-great grandchildren, Alexis and Uriel Sanchez; five nephews and one niece, John Tippette, Ken Tippette (Lori), Chris Tippette, Curt Johnson (Rebecca), Spencer Smith-Corbett (Chelsea) and Mitzi Boutwell (Bryan); eight great nephews and nieces.

Memorial services were held Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Jennings Missionary Baptist Church.
