Sheila Alderman Hunt age 59 of Jacksonville, Fla., entered into rest on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at 3 a.m. at Heartland Health Care Center in Jacksonville, Fla. following a long illness.
Sheila was a native of Hamilton County, Florida. The daughter of Russell and Hilda Alderman of Jennings, Fla. was born on March 15, 1953 at Suwannee County Hospital in Live Oak, Fla. She graduated from Hamilton County High School in the class of 1972. She was a member of Burnham Christian Church near Jennings, Fla. Sheila was a computer operator and consultant in charge of the office of the law firm Bray and Lunsford in Jacksonville, Fla. until her illness caused her retirement.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Hunt of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons Chesley Thomas Manning and wife Machelle of Lake Park, Ga. and Christopher Lee Hamby of Lake City , Fla.; three step children Corey Hunt and wife Summer of Callahan, Fla., Ashley Hunt of Jacksonville, Fla. and Brandon Hunt of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren Leigh Hamby, Tayden Hunt, Jasmine Rockymore, Maceon Rockymore, and Jolynn Rockymore. Sheila is also survived by one sister, Janet Alderman Webb and husband Jerry Webb of Thomasville, Ga.; and one brother Russell (Rusty) Alderman and wife Colleen of West Grove, Pa.; two nephews, Byron Webb of Atlanta, Ga. and Tyler Webb of Columbia, S.C.; one niece, Jaime Alderman Giddens and husband Johnny of Lynn Haven, Fla.; and one great-nephew, Johnny Mason Giddens.
Memorial services were held in the chapel of Arlington Park Cemetery and Funeral Home, Jacksonville, Fla., on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. conducted by Pastor Wade Mask of Wayside Assembly of God.
Private interment will be at a later date in Burnham Christian Church Cemetery near Jennings, Fla. in Hamilton County.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations being made to the American Cancer Society in the honor of Sheila Hunt. — Arlington Park Cemetery and Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
