Stephen McDow, age 49, of Jasper, FL. passed away at Lanier Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, FL. following an extended illness.

Stephen was born on October 23, 1969 in Madison, FL. and was a  "forever child". That is a child God sends every once in a great while to show us how truly special life is and how valuable every life is. Stephen enjoyed life and he had a wonderful imagination and made up games all of the time. He lacked for nothing and had his mother's full attention. Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Ralph McDow.

Survivors include his mother, Ellen Padgett McDow; his aunts and uncles, two great aunts and one great uncle, numerous cousins and a host of loving friends and extended family.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at West Lake Church of God with Pastor Cynthia Moseley officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
