Steven Alan Suty, 72, of White Springs, Florida, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026, following a sudden illness.
Born in Bristol, Pennsylvania, Steven moved with his family to Marion County, Florida, in 1971. He was a skilled surveyor who worked for PCS (Occidental Chemical Company) and later retired from Delta Air Lines in Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked as a machinist. Following retirement, he returned home to White Springs.
Steven was a man of strong faith and a devoted member of White Springs Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder and Clerk of Session and was an active volunteer at Camp Montgomery.
Above all, Steven will be remembered for his servant heart and willingness to help anyone in need. There wasn't much he couldn't fix, and he was always ready to lend a hand, share his knowledge, or tackle a project. He never expected anything in return—it was simply who he was. A true friend and neighbor, Steven touched many lives through his quiet acts of kindness and genuine concern for others. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Steven was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Virginia "Ginny" Suty, and his parents, Steve and Ruby Suty.
He is survived by his sisters, Sheryl Parker (Richard) of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Darla Brown (Michael) of Summerfield, Florida; his loving companion, Karen Martin of Gainesville, Florida; five nieces and nephews, along many dear friends.
Steven leaves behind a legacy of faith, friendship, and generosity. He spent his life helping others, and the kindness he shared will not be forgotten.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at White Springs Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
