Sue Alice Young Fennell-Hill, age 89, of Jasper, FL. passed away at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper, FL. Sue was a native of Homerville, Georgia born on December 4, 1927 to the late Peter Lester and Marybelle Register Young. She was married 55 years to the late Owen Willard Fennell. The two made Hamilton County their permanent home and she went to work with the Barker family at Jasper Laundry where she worked as both bookkeeper/secretary and seamstress. She held longtime memberships at both Jennings Missionary Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Jasper, FL. Sue was preceded in death by husbands, Mr. Owen Willard Fennell who was the father of her children and Mr. Robert Hill. She was also preceded by brothers, A.L. Young, Herschel Young, Norman Young and two sisters, Anita Young Coleman and Helen Goolsby.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Owen W. Fennell, Jr. "Rusty" and his wife Vicki of Jennings, FL.; her daughter and son-in-law, Linda Fennell Owens and her husband Billy of Tallahassee, FL.; one brother, Dr. William "Bill" Earl Young, Tallahassee, FL.; one sister, Mary Naranjo, Mooresville, N.C.; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Young, Irma Young and Nelma Fennell Lamb; four grandchildren, Vanessa Fennell Wilson, Deborah Fennell Tubbs, Amy Owens Hawkins and Angela Owens Bertoch; five great grandchildren, Tyler Tubbs, Rhianna Wilson, Andrew, Hawkins, Owen Hawkins, Amelia Bertoch.

Funeral services were held Thursday, October 19, 2017 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
