Thomas Allen Bennett, age 69, of Cordele, GA. passed away on February 23, 2022 at Dormany Medical Center in Fitzgerald, GA.

Thomas was born in Valdosta, GA. on October 23, 1952 to the late James Willard Bennett and Martha Jean O'Steen Bennett. He worked for the railroad for a number of years and enjoyed good health until recently. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Phyllis Elaine Dampier.

Survivors include his sons, Jonathan Allen Bennett and Christopher Lee Bennett; his step-sons, Chuck Lee (Ashley), Justin Lee and Blake Lee (Renee); his brothers, James Rodney Bennett (Joann) and Connie Mack Bennett (Patricia); and sisters, Mary Jane Looney (Jim), Glenda Bennett (Lamar) and Lisa Burnam (Mike); six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m.

A private interment will be held at Sassers Landing Cemetery.
