IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas Allen
Wiggins
May 22, 1943 – August 18, 2023
Thomas Allen Wiggins, age 80 of Jasper, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2023, at North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Thomas was born on May 22, 1943, to the late Frank Staten Wiggins and Sally Powell Wiggins and grew up in White Springs with his brother and three sisters only a block from the White Springs School where he graduated in 1961. After a stint in the US Army, he returned to civilian life and began working at the bank in Jasper, Florida. He married his sweetie, Suezette Cason in 1968, moving to Jasper where they celebrated 54 years together. Thomas and Suezette had 3 children together, two daughters and one son. Thomas worked 14 years at the bank, was an assistant vice-president and loan officer. He became a Farm Bureau insurance agent and eventually became an independent agent with his own business. He was a faithful member of Jasper First United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir for years, and served as a Hamilton County Hospital Trustee. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the Braves play baseball, watching FSU play football, and listening to country music, the bane of his family. He always enjoyed his weekly trips to the dump with his friend, Gary Gant and working in his yard. Once his health declined, he enjoyed telling Suezette what to do in the yard. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and friend.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, John Powell Wiggins and his wife Ellinor of Live Oak, Florida.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Suezette Cason Wiggins; one son, Bryce Wiggins (Kelly) of Valdosta, Georgia; two daughters, Natalie Wiggins of Jasper, Florida, and Roxanne Creech (Kevin) of St. Augustine; grandchildren, Lindsey (Cody) Underwood, Brooke Burnam, Cassidy Wiggins, Dalton Wiggins, Kiera Moore, Jaden Moore and Hayden Creech; great-grandchildren Bennett, Grace, and Jack; three sisters, Nancy Picker (Fran) of Lakeland, Florida, Evelyn Altman (Wilbert) of White Springs, Florida, and Myrtle Ann McElroy (Norman) of Wellborn, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
