Velma Lizzie Henderson Knight, age 71,of Fargo, GA., passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the home of her daughter following a brief illness.

Velma was born on November 11, 1949 to the late Ben and Inez Hunter Henderson.

She was a homemaker most of her life. Anyone that knew Velma could agree, she was "one of a kind". She enjoyed cooking, fishing, spending time with her grandchildren and watching her soaps. Velma was preceded in death by her daughter, Inez Henderson and her two grandsons, Michael Carter and Dustin Henderson.

Survivors include her son, Bubba Knight and his wife Shay of Valdosta, GA.; her two daughters, Cissy Knight of Jasper, FL. and Jeannette Nichols of Lake Park, GA.; 10 grandchildren, Matt (Erica), Keith, DJ (Irene), Britany (Jorden), Destiny, Alexis, Madison, Katlyn (Cody), Morgan and Gracie; four great grandchildren, Carter, Lennex, Kylan and Zayden.

Funeral services were held on Friday, May 7, 2021 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. Interment followed at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (Boney Bluff).
