Vera Jean Hill (Sauerwein), age 63, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, in Jasper, Florida. Born on March 21,1962, in Baltimore, Maryland. Vera brought warmth and light into the world from the very beginning.

Throughout her life, Vera was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She shared a loving marriage with her husband, Andrew Peter Hill. Together they built a family rooted in love and support.

Vera's legacy lives on through her children: Andrew Hill and his wife Jenn; John Hill and his Meghan; Brittany Boyette and her husband Shawn; and Nicholas Hill and his wife Cheyenne. Her grandchildren are Kaiden Hill, Jacob Hill, Eden Marie Hill, Connor Hill, Grayson Hill, Tyrus Boyette, Isaiah Boyette and Abigail Boyette. We're a source of immense pride and joy in her life.

She shared a close bond with her sisters, Mari Dawn Mead and Cora Lynn Havener.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Thelma Sauerwein, as well as her oldest sister Faith Bevans. Their memories remained close to Vera's heart throughout her life.

Vera found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a passion for adult coloring books that allowed her creativity to shine. She loved working on puzzles that challenged the mind and brought moments of quiet satisfaction. Her gardening was a place of peace where she nurtured beauty with care and patience. And got pure joy as Pete and her fed and watched all the hummingbirds gatherer.

Those who knew Vera often spoke of her Beautiful Soul, a gentle presence that radiated kindness and compassion. Whether spending time with family and enjoying quiet moments with Pete and her beloved fur baby Bella by her side. Vera embraced each day with grace.

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8.

Celebration of life will be held on October 18th, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
