Walter R. "W.R." Henderson, age 77, of Echols County, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at his home. Mr. Henderson was born at Halo, Georgia in Echols County on March 12, 1937 to the late John and Rosetta (Padgett) Henderson. Walter, better known as " W.R." was a beekeeper in the honey farming business. Mr. Henderson was a member of Statenville Church of God.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Elaine Culpepper Henderson; one daughter, Wendy Tatum and her husband Daryl; close friend and young man he considered a son, Lonnie Padgett and his wife Jody; all of Echols County, GA.; three sisters, Wynell Thompson, Needmore, GA., Juanita Hayes, Chipley, FL. and Madeline Dodd and her husband Robert, Valdosta, GA.; three grandchildren, Heather Castleberry (Brean), Brittany Dasher (Austin) and Harlie Campbell (Cody); three great grandsons, Hunter, Tristin and Levi Castleberry.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Statenville Church of God.
Interment followed at Kinsey Cemetery.
