IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wanda Sue
Bennett Peacock
July 11, 1955 – April 19, 2021
Wanda Sue Peacock, age 65, of Jennings, FL. passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021.
Wanda Sue was born in Live Oak, FL. on July 11, 1955 to the late Cleo and Shirley Brown Bennett. She married the love of her life DeWayne Peacock. She worked briefly at Hamilton County Hospital in Jasper but once she became a mother, Wanda wanted to do nothing more than be a real homemaker, one that would always be there for her husband and son. She was a one-of-a-kind woman that loved her family deeply. Wanda was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. When her son was young, they were always out go-cart racing or at the ball field. Later, it was riding the ranger on the back roads in the evening, fishing or spending time with the grandchildren she adored. Before his death in November of 2020, she and her husband DeWayne spent every waking moment together. Her spirit never really recovered from that loss and it could easily be said she died of a broken heart. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, DeWayne.
Survivors include her only son and faithful daughter-in-law, Wayne and Tina Peacock; her grandchildren, Brad and Emily Peacock; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Lisa Bennett, her niece, Brianna Vernon and her husband Anthony Vernon and great nieces Kennaley and Braylin; her step mother, Margaret Bennett. Always there for her in the last five months were special family Diane Stapleton and Cynthia Brown. They were dedicated loved ones that stood in the gap for DeWayne until God called her home so they could be together again.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL.
There will be no formal service.
