Wanda Sue Wheeler Jowers, of Jasper, FL. passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Lake City Medical Center in Lake City, FL. at the age of 75.

Wanda was born in Lake City, FL. on December 1, 1947 to the late Leroy and Lucille Nash Williams. She pursued a career in nursing and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Lake Shore Hospital for over 20 years. Wanda loved family and as her health deteriorated, other than the occasional doctor's appointment, she became homebound. It was family that kept her going as long as she did. She had great caretakers between daughters-in-law and grandchildren. Visits might have been two-fold, but she felt blessed to have her beautiful family surround her and love her unconditionally. Wanda was not physically able to attend church, but she enjoyed watching her niece and nephew minister online. She especially looked forward to hearing her niece Shelby sing. Wanda was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Wheeler in April of 1997 and May June Simmons her sister and best buddy.

Survivors include her two sons, Eddie Wheeler and his wife Twyla and Charlie Wheeler and his wife Tabitha; her sister, Gloria Coleman; six grandchildren, Brett, Brittany, Zimran, Julianna, Jesse and Justin; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 13, 2023 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery in White Springs, FL.
