Wayne Nathaniel Hayes, age 84, of Macclenny, FL. passed away at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL. on March 25, 2019.

Wayne was a native of Jasper, FL. born on Feb. 16, 1935 to the late Clifford and Ruby Harbuck Hayes. He lived in Jasper until the age of 10 when the family moved to Jacksonville. As a young man he joined the United States Army and served his country. Wayne was a retired mechanic. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Wayne was preceded by his parents and a brother, Clayton Hayes and his beloved wife Patricia.

Survivors include his daughters, Shelli Smith and Amanda Hayes; three step children, Lisa Sylvester, John Buchan and Rhonda Bishop; his brother, Alton Hayes; his sister, Sylvia Nobles; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Friday, March 29, 2019 at Hebron Cemetery in Jasper, FL.
