Willa Dean Dalton Smart, born on August 2, 1942, in Scottsboro, Alabama, to her loving parents George W. Dalton and Melissa Steele, departed this world on January 18, 2024. She was a cherished member of the Assembly of God Church in Jasper, Florida.

On November 2, 1959, Willa began a lifelong journey with her beloved husband, Raymond Smart. Their union was a testament to love and commitment, lasting for an incredible 57 years until Raymond's passing on June 27, 2016.

Willa dedicated many years of her life to serving the public at S&S in Jasper, Florida, where her warm and caring nature touched the hearts of countless members in the community. To many, she was affectionately known as "Granny," as she wholeheartedly embraced and adopted those around her, treating them as her own.

Willa is preceded in death by her husband Raymond; her son, Raymond Smart; her daughter, Angie Cason; her grandson, Joe Smart; her brothers: George W. Dalton, Jr., Charles Dalton, and Barry Dalton; and her sisters: Flossie Sanders, Velma Wooten, Lynn Reese, and Lella Treece.

She is survived by her son, Waylon Smart (Donna Sue Tharp), her daughters: Sandra Smart, Kimberly Erixton (Gary), Shauna Tyre (Henry), and Trina Ball (Carl Vanzant); her brother Thomas Dalton; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and all those who held a special place in their hearts for her as "Granny."

A visitation in loving memory of Willa Dean Dalton Smart will be held at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, Florida, on Sunday, January 21st, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

The funeral service to celebrate her life will take place at the Assembly of God Church in Jasper, Florida, on Monday, January 22nd, at 3:00 PM. Pastor Joseph Richardson and Spencer Corbett will be officiating.  Following the service, interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, Florida.
