William "Bill" H. Carden, Jr., age 71, of Jacksonville, FL. passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 at Lake City VA Medical Center. Bill was a former resident of Hamilton County. He was a retired police officer and served for a time as Police Chief in Jennings, FL. Bill also served in the United States Marines.

Survivors include one son, William Carden, III, Guatemala; two daughters, Kimberly DeRoche, Tampa, FL. and April Padgett, Jasper, FL.; one sister, Sandy Rogers, Dothan, AL.; five grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Thursday, May 31, 2012 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL.
