William (Bill) Pierce East, Jr. passed away peacefully on December 29, 2013 in Community Hospice, Jacksonville, FL.

Bill is survived by his wife of 68 years, Florence Buckels East, his son, William Glenn East (Twila), his daughter Gwendolyn Faye East; three grandchildren, William Pierce East III (Crystal), Patrick Jason Fowler, Allison Faye Creveling (Scot); and four great grandchildren, Katherine Paige Creveling, Samuel Hugh Creveling, William Aidan Glenn East, Liam Edward Tristan East.

He was born in Millenbeck, VA, on August 2, 1924, and Norfolk became his home where he worked at the Naval Air Station in Hampton Roads. After transferring to NAS JAX, he resided at the Wood Shed in Riverside where he met Florence, the love of his life.
He earned his real estate broker's license and operated under the name of William P. East Corporation.

He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Morocco Temple Shriner, and member of York Rite and Scottish Rite. He was later involved in the Amaranth and a life member of the American Legion.

Services were held Saturday, January 4, 2014, in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home.

Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL.
