William Joseph Gritz, age 77, Jasper, FL. passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at his home in Jasper. Bill was a former mail handler with the United States Postal Service. He also worked for a time as an electrician with Florida Power and Occidental. Bill was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was predeceased by a son Kelly.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joan Gritz, Jasper; one son, Jeffrey Gritz (Caroline), Jasper; two daughters, Maureen Daniels (Jimmy) Jasper and Virginia Hunter (Michael), Live Oak, FL.; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Per his wishes, Mr. Bill will be cremated.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 8 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church.

A celebration of his life will be held at the home of his daughter Maureen on Friday evening, June 8 beginning at 6:00.
