Obituary

William Howard "Bill" Hogan(s), age 68, of Lake City, FL. passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Lake City Veterans Administration Hospital in Lake City, FL. following an extended illness. Bill was born November 19, 1943 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hogan. At 17 he joined the United States Navy where he trained to be a firefighter. It was this experience that landed him a job with NASA on the Egress Team for the Apollo Missions. When he left NASA, he began a new career in law enforcement working for the Seminole and Lake County Sheriff's Offices. Mr. Hogan was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Decker (Michael), Deltona, FL. and Dee Dee Christian (Timothy), Sorrento, FL.; two brothers, James and G.W. Hogan; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are his foster parents, Ivey and Mary Harris of White Springs, FL.

Per his request, Mr. Bill will be cremated and his remains interred at Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell, FL.

Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL. was in charge of local arrangements.
