William Katelyn Mitchell, age 18, of Jasper, FL. passed away early Sunday morning, November 10, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Hamilton County Courthouse Annex (old high school auditorium) with Rev. Ronnie Sadler and Rev. Roger Hutto officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery.
Katelyn was born on December 8, 1994 in Gainesville, Florida to Kenneth and Patricia Mitchell. She was a proud graduate of the "Class of 2013" at Hamilton County High School in Jasper. Katelyn was employed by Jasper Hardware in the accounting department and in her spare time she loved to spend time with her friends, play and watch softball, she enjoyed hunting and was an avid Florida Gator fan. A reference in Proverbs suggest for one to have friends, one must first show himself or herself friendly. Katelyn could be described as no less than friendly and a friend that could be counted on at all times. She was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, great granddaughter and aunt. Katelyn was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Jonnie Kay Wagoner.
Survivors include her parents, Kenneth Mitchell and Patricia Mitchell, both of Jasper; her sister, Ginny Cordle; her niece, Payten Corbett; paternal grandparents, Bill and Joyce Mitchell; maternal grandfather, John Wagoner; maternal great-grandmother, Virginia Davis McFarland; and close friend, Leah Morgan, all of Jasper.
