William Chester Roberson, age 78, of Jasper, Florida passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center following an extended illness.

William was a native and lifelong resident of Hamilton County. He was born on September 29, 1941 to the late George L. and Eva Henderson Roberson. He grew up in a house full of brothers and one sister. He set out on his own at the age of 22, marrying Mary Murray and the two raised three sons. William, like a great number of young men in Hamilton County, did his time at Occidental. He also worked at Pro-Cor for many years but he enjoyed farming the best. William loved horses and anything horse related. He was a longtime member of the Hamilton County Riding Club supporting all associated rodeo events. William was a family man and came to love being "Poppa" to his eleven grandchildren. He loved to joke around with most anybody he came into contact with. One never knew exactly what William might be about to say but the world was a livelier place whenever he was around for sure.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary Murray Roberson; his three sons, Robby Roberson, Wesley Roberson (Teresa) and Casey Roberson (Krystle); his last living brother, George Lamar Roberson (Nell); eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at First Advent Christian Church in Jasper, Florida. Interment followed at Mt. Pisgah near Jasper off of CR 158.
