William Roland Strickland, age 75, of Jasper, FL. passed away at his home on Sunday, October 4, 2020 following an extended illness.

William was the son of the late Joe and Myrtle Zipperer Strickland. He was born in Jasper, FL. on June 22, 1945. William worked for the Hamilton County Road Department as long as his health permitted working both as a mechanic and heavy equipment operator. When William wasn't working, he could be found in the woods hunting, in the river fishing or in front of the television set with his family watching another exciting Florida Gator game. William was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Belle Lee Strickland.

Survivors include his son, Hank Strickland (Monica) of Madison, FL.; three daughters, Laura Strickland (Sherrie) of Starke, FL., Annette Thornton (Robert) of Valdosta, GA. and Heather Riley (Tim) of Jennings, FL.; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Jennings Missionary Baptist Church. Interment  followed at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
