Willodean Deas Burnam, age 90, of Jasper, FL. passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Shands Live Oak.
Willodean was born in Frostproof, FL. on January 6, 1928 to the late Thomas and Ruth Stringfellow Beasley, and was one of nine children. When it came time for her to leave the nest, she married the handsomest bachelor in Hamilton County, James Harold Deas; and moved tfrom her childhood home of Winter Haven to Jennings. The two shared a beautiful life together with their four children until his death in 1987. Willodean never shied away from working. She retired from the bookkeeping department of Texgas. Prior to that she enjoyed working at the newly formed Headstart Program and in the activities department at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center. She was a beautiful lady with a heart of gold and so it was no surprise when she found love a second time and married the late Harlon Burnam. In addition to her two husbands, Willodean was preceded in death by her siblings, Orel Beasley, Cleo Beasley, Ralph Beasley, Royce Beasley and Wera Goins.
Revelation 21:4 says "neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." What a glad reunion day when you look forward after 90 beautiful years and see the many loved ones waiting for you on the other side welcoming you home.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Sherry Deas of Live Oak, FL.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Buster McDaniel of Flagler Beach, FL., Cheryl and Norman McCall, Jennings, FL. and Wendy and Terry Wynn of Live Oak, FL.; one brother, Lloyd Beasley, Northport, FL.; two sisters, Myrtle Jones, Tallahassee, FL. and Thera Kilgore, Flemming, GA.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Burnham Church near Jennings. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
