Wilmer Gene Tyre, age 79, of Jasper, FL. passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his home following a brief illness.
Gene was born in Hamilton County, FL. to the late Alvin Lewis Tyre and Ethel Dempsey Tyre. He worked for Gold Kist Hatchery formerly known as Cherry Farms. Gene loved fishing and going to the river. He was raised not far from the Suwannee River and always had a fondness for it. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Billy, Bobby, Vera "Pie" and Hazel and a grandson, Ryan.

He is survived by his wife Victoria Rye Tyre; his three sons, Jeff Tyre, Brandon Tyre and Wilmer Gene Tyre, "Jr." (Raven); his daughter, Taylor Tyre; one brother, Lewis Tyre (Louise); ten grandchildren, Alyshia, Bryant, Brenton, Cole, Serenity, Sadie, Sage, Haliegh, Alexis and Caleb; and one great grandson, Ian.

Per his wishes, Gene will be cremated. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
