In loving memory of Zollie Oscar Sauls who passed away on October 2, 2013 at the Bay Pines VAMC Hospice at the age of 85. Zollie was born in Echols County, Georgia on February 12, 1928. He was a retired postal worker and served his country in the Korean War. He attended Seminole First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Washington and Jennie Bell Brantley Sauls; brothers Carl L. Sauls, Mackey W. Sauls, and Albert D. Sauls; sister Viola Sauls Holland.
Zollie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Flatscher Sauls; sister Myrtle Mae McDonald; son, Robert W. Sauls (Elizabeth); daughters, Judith L. Olive (Robert), Lisa G. Arledge (Steve), and Christina M. Behm (Cary); 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with the Reverend Michael Mott officiating.
Interment followed at the Carter Cemetery in Statenville, GA.
Pallbearers were Cary Behm, Hoyt Behm, Eric Behm, Ronnie Sauls, Ted Sauls and Tommy Black. Honorary Pallbearers are Jackie Sauls, Kenneth Sullivan, and Eugene Pollock.
